Leo Compatibility with the Other Signs

Leo compatibility is a little bit complicated.  With Leo, he/she must be the center of attention and this leaves little room for an "equal" relationship.  Sometimes Leo picks relationships only in how it enhances his/her prestige and honor in the eyes of the world, or somehow complements his unique attributes.  With Leo sometimes the bottom line is power and control.

This is not to say though that Leo isn't charming, generous, and quite warm because in fact it is.  For successful Leo compatibility you have to recognize and not be in competition for recognition against them.  Leo is the typical king/queen and honor is their byword; if you have honor in your thoughts and actions they will respect you and you will become their friend.

Leo's weak point of course is power and control, if they are afraid that somehow they are not in control of their destiny or the situation they can compensate by being domineering and subtly intimidating; they can even be manipulated by that point: let them believe that they are in charge or the greatest one  in the room and they will be like putty in your hands.

Leo is in polarity with Aquarius, the great world-benefactor; if they can work together, each enhancing and complementing their good points they can be very strong in a partnership level.  But if they don't work together it can be very difficult with a growing sense of alienation between the two.  In fact a lot of Leo's have relationship problem, if only because the sign opposite them is ruled by troublesome Saturn, it spreads out into all other configurations in their charts.

Traditionally Leo compatibility is with all the other fire signs: Aries and Sagittarius; it is also amenable to the air signs Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini.  There is a so-so compatibility with Capricorn and Pisces; and there is definitely potential problems with Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus.
