Libra Compatibility with the Other Signs

Libra compatibility is symbolized by the scales of balance, and it is concerned with achieving a state of equilibrium in the immediate environment.  To Libra a sense of creating a "complete picture" is important, everything must find its place and everything has an essential importance.  Peace, harmony, and balance to the environment are important to them.

Libra is ruled by the graceful and relationship-oriented Venus, and Libra is very much concerned with relationships because two people can "find their wavelength".  To get on the side of Libra you have to pull out your own charm and display your ability to be a peacemaker, for those are qualities that Libra appreciates.

Sometimes Libra can be caught in the valley of indecision, afraid to go one way or the other for fear of offending the other party; and sometimes Libra has been known to be one who wants peace at all costs, which is not always a good thing.  Sometimes we have to get a little direct and face unpleasant issues squarely, and Libra may not be inclined toward that.

Of course, Libra's weak spot is over-avoidance of not getting along, to have to be harsh with someone, or being forced to "make a choice" and therefore ending up non-commital or wishy-washy on the issues.

Libra is in polarity with Aries, which means they can for a great complementary team providing they don't demonize each other.  Libra's tact and diplomacy can help Aries get through areas where fighthing is not the answer, and Aries can help Libra to stay moving.  Libra is also compatible with the other air signs: Aquarius and Gemini; and it is also easy with the fire signs Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.  Libra compatibility is moderate with Pisces and Taurus; and it definitely can have problems with Cancer and Capricorn (and Aries sometimes).
